Photos: School of Art Celebrates Alumni in New York City During CAA 2025

One night, six decades of School of Art alumni. See everything that went down during this year’s NYC alumni party during the College Art Association Conference.

Thanks to all the alumni and friends of the School of Art who joined us at Artists Space in New York City! It was a joy to reconnect with graduates spanning six decades of our undergraduate and graduate programs, celebrating the impact and creativity of our community.

The gathering coincided with the College Art Association (CAA) Conference, where artists, scholars, curators, and critics shared new perspectives on contemporary art and its histories. As part of this year’s programming, Hyla Willis (MFA ’99) — an alumna of the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry and a member of the subRosa art collective — spoke on the Cyberfeminist Legacies in New Media Art panel on February 14.

This year’s gathering was a testament to the strength of our alumni community and the lasting connections forged at CMU, bringing together artists working across disciplines and generations.
